Dr. Borah is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He performed his General Surgery training, as well Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Borah completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the Yale-New Haven residency program.
For 20 years Dr. Borah was Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. Currently he is the Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery - Burn Surgery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
A veteran of 12 volunteer surgery trips and visiting professorships in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Honduras and Bangladesh, Dr. Borah has practical perspective on the elements of global health plastic surgery mission.
